Welcome to www.RichardKraneis.com .

My name is Richard Kraneis and I am the creator of this blog.

Growing up I knew my last name was unique.  I never met another Kraneis outside of my direct family.  Then when I began searching the Internet I realized there wasn’t another person named Richard Kraneis, so I took that domain name.

“Teach the World”

A decade ago I expressed a concern to my wife that the demand for excellent computer trainers was decreasing, so I was worried about who would become my new students.

My wife’s reply was quick and wise.  She said.

Teach the world.

So a decade later, courtesy of the Internet, Skype, and other means, I teach and educate people around the world.

PMP, SharePoint Advocate, Training SME

Richard Kraneis, PMP

Yes, I passed the PMP test on June 25, 2014, that’s the same day the Chicago Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup.  I came downstairs from a Prometric test center in downtown Chicago, went over to my wife who was waiting for me, and I jumped up and down with joy and hugged her for helping me pass the PMP.  Later that night we had fried chicken for dinner and watched the Blackhawks win the Stanley Cup.

SharePoint Advocate

I advocate the use of Microsoft SharePoint for project management.  It means you support the use of SharePoint in organizations for solving problems and helping people communicate better on projects.

And if anyone needs to learn how to use Microsoft SharePoint in their organizations, it’s project managers.  Being a PMP and SharePoint advocate seems to be a perfect fit for today’s project management and technology choices.

Training SME

I am a training subject matter expert.  I owned my own computer training company, trained 10,000 people in enterprise wide software migrations, and my staff taught another 15,000.

That’s why I help people pass the PMP on this website.  That’s why I still help organizations with training assignments for Microsoft SharePoint, MS-Office, and soon Microsoft Project.

Thanks for visiting Richard Kraneis Today

I hope today’s visit helped you learn something useful about passing the PMP or using Microsoft SharePoint in making your projects successful.  And I do hope it was fun visiting my website for a while.  (Tell your friends about my name.)

I’m open to any business inquiries that combine my PMP skills, Microsoft SharePoint, and/or my passion for training people.  If you have a business need or project just leave it as a comment with your valid email.  Thank you.

My name is Richard Kraneis and I live in Chicago, IL  USA.  Thanks again for your visit.
